Manassas Park 2017-18 School Calendar: First Day Aug. 14

MANASSAS PARK, VA — Wasn't is just, like, 20 minutes ago that kids were celebrating the end of the school year? Yeah, well, Alice Cooper's anthem already is more or less stale. It might not feel like it outside, but summer already has entered the backstretch and a new school year beckons.

Toward that end, here's the complete 2017-18 school calendar for Manassas Park public schools. It includes need-to-know dates regarding various holidays and teacher work days. The schedule is subject to change, of course, for a variety of the typical reasons.

6th Grade Orientation, MPMS (9:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m.)
9th Grade Orientation, MPHS (10:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m.)
August 10 MPES, MPMS-Open House (4:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.)
August 14 First day of school 1-12 & Kindergarten Orientation
