Pepper's Take:
When I walked in, there was not a hostess or even one server to be seen. So I took a seat at the bar, where the bartender asked me what I wanted without even handing me a menu. Once again, here I am, having to request a menu. I really don’t understand why offering menus is not a standard practice in the resturants I visit.
I started off by ordering a rail drink, which was pretty good, but way overpriced—two drinks were $ 14. And that was the special! For the main course, I ordered a hot dog with mozzarella and chili, served with fries. The fries were really good. The resturant boasts about its two, five-star chefs in the back, which probably explains how the fries were fried to a perfect crisp.
The hot dog was pretty good, it was steamed, where as I prefer grilled. The chili wasn’t to my liking and could of definitely used more cheese.
The staff was very friendly, and it seems like it could be a fun spot to hang out at, as there are a lot of events going on.
Sunday: Nascar
Monday: Cornhole Tournaments (Starting March 28)
Tuesday: DJ/Karaoke Night
Wednesday: Ladies Night
Friday/Saturday: Live Music
The atmosphere was relaxed and seems like a good place to go watch game, as Clarke's has multiple TVs. I probably wouldn’t refuse to go there again if someone invited me. But it would not be my top choice, either.
