Police Investigate Manassas Burglary, Attempted Burglary

Someone attempted to break into a home on Lyon Circle Saturday, but was unsuccessful, Prince William County Police reports show. 

Police arrived at the home on the 8000 block of Lyon Circle around 2:10 p.m. where the homeowner told police someone tried to break in the home through the living room window the night before, probably between 6 to 10 p.m.  

The would-be burglars were unsuccessful;no entry was made and nothing was missing, the homeowner told police. 
Someone was successful in breaking into a home Sunday on the 13100 block Amblewood Drive in the Manassas-area of the county. 

The homeowner said it must have happened between 10 a.m. on Aug. 9 and Sunday afternoon. 

Entry was made through a forced open basement window. Jewelry, two televisions and other property, all totaling $4,800, were reported missing. 
No arrests have been made in either incident.
