Police Investigate Pocket Picking Incident at 7-Eleven

Police are looking for two suspects who they say picked the pocket of an elderly disabled man.

Police are searching for two suspects who they say picked the pocket of an elderly disabled man, then used his stolen credit cards to make purchases at Walmart.

It happened Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. at the 7-Eleven at 8521 Centreville Rd. when one of the suspects said he was 90 cents short on his purchase and asked for the money to make up the difference, Manassas Park Police reports show.

The victim went out to his car to get the money and realized his wallet was missing when he came back inside.

The victim later told police he remembered feeling something brush his pants pocket, but didn't think anything of it at the time.

The two suspects ran away before the victim could return with the change.

Police contacted the victim's family members to help him cancel his cards, but it was later discovered that some of the victim's cards were used to make purchases at Walmart.

Police are reviewing video from the convenience store and are still investigating the case.

No arrests have been made.

One suspect is described as a white man age 30, last seen wearing a baseball cap, sunglasses, blue jeans and a black shirt with a red design on the front.

The second suspect is described as a light-skinned black man, age 30 with short hair. He was last seen wearing a navy blue shirt,  blue jeans and backpack.
