Two Schools on Lockdown After Report of Rifle Near Campus
Suspects have been identified, and are in custody, according to School Board Chair Brenda Foster.

Manassas Park elementary and secondary campuses were on lockdown Tuesday afternoon after a report of two young men with a rifle near the elementary campus, according to a note from School Board Chair Brenda Foster on Facebook.
A bus driver reportedly spotted the men near the schools at approximately 3 p.m. As of 4:15 p.m., the schools were still on lockdown.
Parents were encouraged not to come to the school to pick up their children. “To ensure that every child gets where they’re supposed to be, we will be sending them home through normal channels--buses, daycare, etc.,” according to Foster.
