Victim Says Mob Assault Was a Setup
The man told police he believes a female he was walking with set him up to be robbed by four black men on Grant Avenue in Manassas Saturday.

The Manassas City Police Department is investigating after a man reported being attacked and robbed by four black males while walking in the area of the Grant Avenue Shopping Center Saturday night.
According to MCPD Sgt. Eddie Rivera, officers responded to the 9600 block of Grant Avenue at 11 p.m. on May 19, 2012. The victim told officers he he was walking with a female when he was assaulted and robbed by four black males. The victim sustained an injury to his eye and lacerations to several parts of his body, police said.

The victim also told police he believes the female set him up to be robbed.
She was described as black, approximately 5’6”, mid twenties, heavy set with white braces on her teeth. She was also described as having blonde or red streaks in her hair. The victim was unable to provide officers a description of the male suspects involved in the attack.
