Woman Struck in Front of Pollo Campero Restaurant Dies
Police said the driver of a Toyota accidentally hit the accelerator instead of the brake pedal, striking the woman as she walked.

A woman walking in front of a Latin American chicken restaurant in Manassas died this week after she was struck by a car.
Rosa Maribel Marquez Lovo, 36, of Manassas died Monday night of injuries she suffered in a crash Saturday night, Prince William County Police reports show.
The crash happened in front of Pollo Campero at 8 p.m.when a driver pulling into the restaurant apparently mistook her car's accelerator for the brake pedal and lost control, striking Lovo as she walked along Sudley Road.

The driver was unable to gain control of the vehicle following the impact and continued to travel southbound on Sudley Road in the northbound lanes of traffic before crossing the median and eventually stopping near Lomond Drive.
Lovo was flown to an area hospital where she succumb to her injuries.

Police charged the driver Maria Del Carment Roca Perez, 37, of Sterling with reckless driving.
