Alyson Bailey, Daughter Of Del. Kathleen Murphy, Dies From Cancer

MCLEAN, VA — Alyson Bailey, daughter of Virginia Del. Kathleen Murphy and Bill Sudow died Saturday from pancreatic cancer.

Murphy released the following statement on Friday:

"I want to thank all of you who have been supportive and shared your kindness with us during this tragic time for our family. Aly was a remarkable young woman. She was bold, tenacious, enthusiastic and shared her friendship with everyone. She was a strong partner to her husband, Zack. She was a terrific mommy to her kids. She loved life. And we loved her. We will always wish we had just one more day with her, one more hug, one more laugh, one more homemade biscuit. Our hearts are broken."

The directed people who wished to share their condolences with Bailey's family to contribute to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
