Pedestrian improvements, Metro wayfinding signs unveiled in Tysons (ffxnow.com) β New wayfinding kiosks have just been installed at the McLean Metro station and other Tysons stops, giving riders illuminated maps and directions to dozens of nearby destinations. The Tysons Community Alliance also completed a safer crosswalk and sidewalk connection near Tysons West, with more small-scale pedestrian and trail projects planned that will affect how McLean-area commuters move through Tysons.

Boy, 18, Who Was Hit by a Car and in a Coma, Overcomes the Odds to Run Cross Country (today.com) β An 18-year-old McLean student who suffered a severe brain injury and coma after being hit by a car at age 6 has fought his way back to become a competitive cross-country runner. With years of therapy, he relearned to walk, speak, and study, and now hopes to run in college and possibly pursue a career in physical therapy.
