MCLEAN, VA — A new configuration for the Old Dominion Drive and Balls Hill Road intersection is proposed and will be discussed at two upcoming meetings.

The project is 30 percent into the preliminary design phase. The proposal calls for removing the current skewed intersection configuration and improving traffic signal operations. The project would include roadway reconstruction and add bike and pedestrian facilities and drainage improvements. A photo of the proposed intersection changes is available here.

The Fairfax County Department of Transportation and Dranesville Supervisor John Foust will host the two upcoming meetings on the preliminary design. The first meeting will be virtual at 7 p.m. on June 22. Join through Microsoft Teams or by phone at 571-429-5982 with conference ID: 930 454 601#.
