Celebrate summer with the McLean Art Society at “Sun-Drenched,” a special exhibition during August at the McLean Art Gallery. 

Join us on Friday August 7 from 5-7pm for the show’s Opening Reception to meet the artists, enjoy conversation about summer-inspired artwork, and relax with live music, wine, and light refreshments.

On view August 5-30, 2026, “Sun-Drenched” captures the warmth, brilliance, and beauty of the season through original artwork inspired by long summer days, flourishing gardens, colorful still lifes, sunlit landscapes, and the simple pleasures of summer. The exhibition highlights the many ways artists interpret light, color, and the energy of the season.

In addition to “Sun-Drenched,” gallery visitors can browse a diverse collection of original artwork by McLean Art Society artists featuring a broad range of subjects, styles and media. The gallery includes paintings in oil, acrylic, pastel, watercolor, and mixed media, along with drawing, photography, sculpture, and works in wood, glass, and ceramics.
