Capital Beltway Lane Closures Planned Over Weekend In Tysons
One lane of the southbound Beltway will be closed for the weekend, and an additional lane will be closed overnight only.
TYSONS, VA — A lane closure is planned Friday night through early Monday on the Capital Beltway in the Tysons area, according to the Virginia Department of Transportation.
The right lane of southbound Interstate 495 (Beltway Outer Loop) will be closed along the three bridges over Dulles Toll Road. The lane closure will continue from 10 p.m. Friday, Sept. 24 through 5 a.m. Monday, Sept. 27. Crews will be working on bridge point work.
Another southbound lane will be closed on three nights. That means two right lanes of southbound I-495 will be closed from 11 p.m. Friday, Sept. 24 to 7 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 25, 11 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 25 to 7 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 26, and 11 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 26 to 5 a.m. Monday, Sept. 27.

At least two lanes will remain open at all times, as well as the southbound I-495 general purpose lanes ramp to the westbound Dulles Toll Road (Exit 45A), and the southbound I-495 ramp to eastbound Route 267 (Exit 45B).
