Car Strikes Tree In Chaotic McLean Pursuit: Police
Police caught a passenger but did not locate the driver after the vehicle and foot pursuit.

MCLEAN, VA—Fairfax County Police have charged one man for a pursuit involving a tree being struck in McLean Friday night.
Around 9:39 p.m., police tried to pull over a car for an illegal turn in the 5900 block of Ranleigh Manor Drive. The driver sped away, resulting in the car hitting the tree on Ranleigh Manor Drive.
The driver and the passenger fled on foot, but the latter couldn't get away. Andre Turnman, 27, of Washington, D.C., was charged with possession of marijuana and obstruction of justice. He was found to be on house arrest from DC.

Police did not immediately locate the driver.

BIAS CRIME/ASSAULT: 8000 block of Leesburg Pike, 9/14/2018, 11:34 a.m. Officers responded for a report of a road rage incident involving a woman who was stopped at an intersection for an approaching fire truck with emergency equipment activated. A driver behind her did not realize the truck was approaching and began to honk his horn. The woman accused the man of calling her racial slurs and slapping her in the face with an open hand. The man said she was using racial slurs toward him initially, and that he did not strike her. Neither party was interested in pressing charges.
