Great Falls House Fire Displaces 2 People
No one was injured when a garage went up in flames at a Great Falls home.

GREAT FALLS, VA — Two people are displaced after a fire in Great Falls on Thursday, according to Fairfax County Fire and Rescue.
Units from Fairfax and Loudoun counties responded to a home in the 10200 block of Forest Lake Drive around 9:04 p.m. on Thursday. Due to limited fire hydrants in the area, the response included a tanker task force.
Two people were home when the fire broke out. Both evacuated after discovering smoke coming from the garage door.

Firefighters found a significant blaze coming from the attached garage of the home. Units worked to put out the fire and worked on the interior to keep the fire from entering the home. There was minor extension of fire into the home, but no one was injured.
Fire investigators confirmed the fire started in the garage but could not identify the cause. Damages were estimated to be $105,450.
