Great Falls Park Promoting Healthy Lifestyles with Upcoming Event
The event, taking place Saturday, Sept. 26, is in honor of National Public Lands Day.

Great Falls Park is hosting an event this National Public Lands Day, Saturday, Sept. 26, to give area residents a chance to discover how the park and others like it can help add fun to a healthy lifestyle.
The free event will run from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. and will include a special visit by former NFL star and Iron Man Tri-athlete Darryl Haley, who’ll be on hand sharing tips for a healthy lifestyle.
Visitors of all ages are invited to participate in the park scavenger hunt, which is aimed at leading participants throughout all the wondrous elements of the park. There will also be fitness activities like yoga, Tai Chi, Zumba and fitness hikes taking place throughout the day.

The Raptor Conservancy of Virginia will also be in the park with a hawk, an owl and a vulture giving demonstrations with all three birds.
