McLean Community: A Village for All Ages (McLeanCVA) Expands Service
New Senior Source Locations and Programs Will Benefit McLean Residents and their Families

To meet the growing interest of McLean residents, a group of dedicated volunteers has been working to create a village to meet the unique needs of our community.
Unlike the rest of Fairfax County, McLean has a disproportionately larger senior population. Nearly a third (33 percent) of McLean residents are 55 or older which is a marked difference over the 24 percent reported in Fairfax County. Since 2013, McLeanCVA Senior Source (MSS) volunteers have been providing free, non-emergency, information to help 55+ residents, adults living with disabilities and their caregivers to age comfortably in place in McLean. MSS, a treasured resource, will begin operating in two (2) new locations to serve the community while McLean Community Center is undergoing renovations effective February 1, 2017.
MSS is staffed by volunteers who can provide residents and visitors with references to helpful entities that provide solutions to a host of practical living concerns that include: daily living solutions, insurance, legal, financial, transportation, and housing, as well as entertainment, recreation, volunteering and social opportunities by:

About McLeanCommunity: A Village for All Ages (McLeanCVA)
McLean Community: A Village for All Ages (McLeanCVA) was launched in 2013 with the support of several compassionate residents, Supervisor Foust and employees from Fairfax County. McLeanCVA is a community-based, volunteer-managed organization seeking to make McLean a friendly, connected, and supportive community for all, while recognizing the interests of our 55+ community and the needs of adults living with disabilities. We received our tax-exempt 501(c)(3) status and were incorporated in the State of Virginia in 2015.
