McLean Election Results: 5 Elected To MCC Governing Board

Three adult candidates and two teen candidates were elected. The election was held at McLean Day on May 18.

MCLEAN, VA—Three adult candidates and two teen candidates were elected to the McLean Community Center governing board, according to preliminary election results. The election was held on McLean Day, Saturday, May 18. Voting was open to residents of the Dranesville Small District 1A.

The three winning adult candidates were:

  • Carla Post, 344 votes
  • Suzanne LeMenestrel, 338 votes
  • Maria Foderaro-Guertin, 332 votes

11 candidates (five adults and six teens) ran in 2019. The three adult candidates with the highest vote counts were elected for three-year terms. Teen candidates, which include one from the McLean High School boundary and one from the Langley High School boundary, will serve one-year terms.

The results have been certified to Dranesville District Supervisor John W. Foust, who will present the successful candidates’ names to the Fairfax County Board of Supervisors on June 4.

The 11-member board is tasked with setting policies and oversight of McLean Community Center facilities and programs of the Center.
