McLean Restaurant Violations: Milk Measured At 52 Degrees

How clean are your local restaurants? See the latest health inspection results for McLean and Tysons.

MCLEAN, VA — Local restaurants regularly undergo health inspections, with the frequency depending on the type of food served and how it is prepared.

The Virginia Department of Health notes in a statement, “In our experience, it is unrealistic to expect that a complex, full-service food operation can routinely avoid any violations." While violations like malfunctioning refrigerators and food that's not warm or cold enough often pop up, health inspectors sometimes note more critical violations.

Here are the full results from recent inspections in the McLean and Tysons area, including restaurants that passed with no violations. Among the violations was milk measured at 52 degrees at Cafe Oggi and other food temperature concerns at other restaurants. Typically 40 degrees or lower is a safe temperature to store milk. Cafe Oggi corrected this violation during the inspection.
