Mookie's BBQ Coming to Great Falls

Be on the lookout for a new barbecue restaurant coming soon to Great Falls, at 1141 Walker Road in the Old Mill Market Square shopping center.

Mookie’s BBQ will be opening in the spot likely this summer and is hiring for all positions, according to a job ad on Indeed.com.

Brian and Megan Varani are opening their restaurant in part thanks to a Kickstarter campaign, where they raised $20,160 from 48 backers.

The couple has experience as caterers (Big Mook’s BBQ LLC in Falls Church) and in winning at BBQ competitions. Watch a video here about their business on their Kickstarter page.

We’re hoping the restaurant offers everything from the catering menu: Pulled pork, ribs, brisket, potato salad, macaroni salad, BBQ beans, corn casserole, baked cinnamon apples, cornbread, apple raisin crisp and more. See their full catering menu here.
