MYS Helping Build Childhood Cancer Support and Awareness

McLean Youth Soccer Players Sporting Gold in September

Two years ago and as part of the club's ongoing commitment to support our community, MYS initiated support of Breast Cancer Awareness month with the sales of pink socks and laces. Teams purchased the colorful gear and showed their support of the fight against this disease by wearing them at practices or games and sharing their support through social media! In recent years, the teams' efforts have resulted in thousands of dollars of support for the Lombardi Cancer Center.

This year, MYS expanded its efforts to support Childhood Cancer Awareness month in September. The proceeds from the sales of Gold socks and laces will benefit Max Cure - a local group founded by an MYS coach which supports local residents. Many teams are wearing their gold socks and laces this month! MYS is proud to support cancer awareness.
