MCLEAN, VA — One of McLean's two Walgreens Pharmacy locations will close in February.

Signs at the 6224 Old Dominion Drive location (Chesterbrook shopping center) say the location will close on Feb. 15. Pharmacy prescription records will be available at other Walgreens locations, including the other McLean location at 1312 Chain Bridge Road.

One reader told Patch in an email the store's pharmacy started closing on weekends and reducing hours several months ago. While pharmacy hours are limited, Walgreens store hours remain 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily.

Store management referred comment to the Walgreens media team, as the closure was a corporate decision. Patch has reached out to Walgreens for comment and will update this story if we receive a response.

The Chesterbrook shopping center also has now-closed Subway and BB&T locations. Another business, Hier and Haines Salon, will close on April 5 as the owner plans for future retirement. As of April 5, staff will move to Eclips Salon & Spa one mile down the road.
