Pedestrian Dies After Crash In Tysons: Police

The pedestrian was struck on Old Courthouse Road in the area of a crosswalk, according to Fairfax County Police.

TYSONS, VA — A pedestrian died Wednesday, days after a car struck him in Tysons, Fairfax County Police say. It was the county's 16th pedestrian fatality of the year.

The crash happened at Old Courthouse Road and Lord Fairfax Road around 7:19 p.m. Monday, Dec. 2. The pedestrian had been crossing Old Courthouse Road when an eastbound Chevrolet Tahoe struck him in the vicinity of the crosswalk. The intersection does not have a traffic signal.

The pedestrian was taken to the hospital with serious injuries, and he died two days later. He was identified as Abraham Feldman, 60, of Washington, D.C.

The driver remained on the scene and is cooperating with detectives. Police have not determined if speed factored into the crash. Alcohol was likely not involved for either party. Charges have not been announced.
