'In-the-Round' 2015 U.S. Tour of 'Peter Pan' to Debut at Tysons Corner Center

Shows begin June 24; tickets go on sale Sunday. Watch a video clip below.

Peter Pan in the threesixty° Theatre is making its 2015 U.S. tour debut in the Washington, D.C. area, opening Wednesday, June 24 at Tysons Corner Center for a limited engagement. Performances of the production will take place at 1971 Chain Bridge Road and International Drive through July 12.

Tickets for PETER PAN in the threesixty° Theatre go on sale Sunday, April 12. Prices start at $25 for weekday performances and at $45 for weekend performances. Premium and VIP ticket packages will be available. Tickets will be available for purchase online at peterpan360.com or Ticketmaster.com, at any Ticketmaster retail location, or by calling (800) 745-3000. Discounts are available for groups of 10 or more by calling (877) 407-8497.

The production will take place in a one-of-a-kind threesixty° Theatre – a 100-foot-high theatre-tent and cinema all in one. The stage is surrounded by 1,450 tiered seats, 13 rows deep. The show will combine the theater-in-the-round with overhead surround CGI projection, actors in flying sequences 40 feet in the air, and puppets, bringing J.M. Barrie’s classic tale to life.

PETER PAN is directed by award-winning director Thom Southerland and designed by seven-time Olivier Award winner William Dudley. Thom Southerland and Tanya Ronder are co-adaptors of PETER PAN from the J.M. Barrie story, with original music composed by Benjamin Wallfisch and additional music by Howard Herrick. Choreography and movement creator is Gyspy Snider, co-founder of the internationally acclaimed Les 7 Doigts de la Main. By arrangement with Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity and Samuel French Limited, PETER PAN is produced by Norton Herrick and Charlie Burnell. Norton Herrick, Chairman and CEO of Herrick Entertainment, is a multiple Tony Award-winning producer and film producer of Critics Choice Award winner Lone Survivor.

About PETER PAN in the threesixty° Theatre:

• 12 projectors, delivering 360-degree projection

• 15,000 square feet of CGI (computer-generated imagery)

• 400 square miles of virtual London were rendered

• The largest surround CGI venue in the world

• The world’s first fully 360 cinematic projection for live theatrical performance

• 100 computers took four weeks to create the images (it would have taken eight years for a single computer to render)

PETER PAN Performance Schedule:

June 24 through July 12

  • Tuesday through Friday at 7:30 pm
  • Saturday at 11:30 am, 3:30 pm and 7:30 pm
  • Sunday at 1:30 pm and 5:30 pm

A limited number of Thursday 10:30 a.m. performances are available, and a special holiday schedule is set for July 4 weekend.
