Santa to Arrive Friday at Tysons on the Silver Line

Santa arrives at Tysons Corner Center Friday via the Silver Line. Santa is coming to Tysons Corner for the holiday season and he’s trading in his sleigh for the Silver Line. On Friday, Jolly Saint Nick will welcome more than a dozen disadvantaged kids aboard a special train that will arrive at Tysons for the official kick off of the holiday season.

Tysons Corner Center is located at 1961 Chain Bridge Road in McLean.

After the holiday train arrives at Tysons Corner Station, the kids will have their pictures taken with Santa, enjoy lunch and get the opportunity to pick out holiday gifts compliments of American Girl.

Meanwhile, Tysons Corner Center and the Tysons Partnership will host a press event at “Santa’s HQ” at the mall to announce “Silver Saturdays,” a special holiday promotion to encourage Metro riders from across the region to visit the great shopping and entertainment destinations that are now easily accessible via the Silver Line.

The promotion includes a full slate of discounts from more than 30 retailers, restaurants and hotels available to Metro riders who show their SmarTrip card on Silver Saturdays this holiday season.

Santa Breakfast

Join Santa on Sunday, Dec. 7 from 8-10 a.m. to celebrate the holiday season. The event is first come, first served. No tickets are required. Visit the Santa Breakfast page for more details.

Come to the 3rd level of Tysons Corner Center (in the Food Court by AMC Theatres) and have a complimentary light breakfast with Santa Claus before he reports for work in his new HGTV Headquarters.

Santa will arrive on the Tysons Corner Express Train at 8 am and stay until 10 am when he reports to work. During his visit, he will be entertained by “America’s Got Talent” favorites “Those Funny Little People.” After the show, families are encouraged to take a complimentary photo with Santa.

Bring the whole family to enjoy a light breakfast, visits with Santa Claus, a performance by Those Funny Little People, holiday activities, face painting by Paul Mitchell the School, crafts by American Girl and fun and festive music!

*In the past, the line has been extremely long. Please come early, as Santa will have to get back to work at his Headquarters promptly at 10 am, and the line may close prior to 10 am.
