Scotts Run to Host Three-Mile Hike on Aug. 8: Fairfax County Announces
The hike will begin at 9 a.m Saturday and will cost $6 for county residents and $8 for nonresidents.

Fairfax County is offering a guided three-mile hike through Scotts Run Nature Preserve on Saturday, Aug. 8, beginning at 9 a.m.
The hike will cost $6 a person for county residents and $8 for nonresidents. This one-time hike is for anyone ages 12 and up.
A trained naturalist will lead the hike, although a guide has not been named as of time of publication. Attendees are asked to meet in the West parking lot at Scotts Run, and are advised to bring water.

Fairfax County also reminds potential hikers there are no bathroom facilities in the park.
Scotts Run sits along the Potomac River and allows visitors a chance to escape the city and enjoy connecting with nature. The hike on Saturday will include stops at scenic outlooks as well as the famous Scotts Run waterfall.
