Sunrise Of McLean Village To Open Its 100 Residences In Spring 2023

MCLEAN, VA — Sunrise of McLean Village, one of Sunrise Senior Living’s newest communities in Northern Virginia, is on track to open its doors to new residents in spring 2023.

The three-story building at 1515 Chain Bridge Road in McLean will have room for 122 residents in its 100 units: 61 assisted living residences and 39 memory care residences.

Construction on the new 89,983-square-foot Sunrise community broke ground in June 2021. Design of the Sunrise of McLean Village was conducted by Alexandria-based Rust | Orling Architecture and the construction contract was awarded to The Whiting-Turner Contracting Company.

The last Sunrise community to open in Northern Virginia was Sunrise of Fairfax, which opened in 2021 and won a 2022 Senior Living by Design Award from Argentum. Sunrise is also building Sunrise of Vienna at 380 Maple Ave., which is scheduled to open in summer 2023.

The McLean and Vienna senior living communities will be in addition to the 17 communities that Sunrise currently operates in Northern Virginia.

Sunrise of McLean Village will feature a public/private heritage garden, a salon, large common spaces, including a multipurpose bistro, which will feature a bar for entertaining, social hours and events. Other amenities will include a fitness center, library, two sunrooms, activity room and a beauty salon.

The new Sunrise community also will have five covered porches, a large outdoor terrace and an underground parking garage.
