Tysons Area Beltway Lane Closures Planned Again This Weekend

For a second weekend, one lane of the southbound Capital Beltway will be closed all weekend, and a second lane will be closed overnight.

TYSONS, VA — For a second weekend, the Virginia Department of Transportation is planning lane closures on the Capital Beltway in the Tysons area.

The right lane of southbound Interstate 495 (Capital Beltway Outer Loop) will be closed along the three bridges over Dulles Toll Road (Route 267) from 10 p.m. Friday, Oct. 1 to 5 a.m. Monday, Oct. 4. Crews will be conducting bridge joint work.

In addition, two southbound right lanes will be closed overnight from 11 p.m. Friday, Oct. 1 to 7 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 2; 11 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 2 to 7 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 3; and 11 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 3 to 5 a.m. Monday, Oct. 4.

At least two southbound Beltway lanes will be open at all times. The southbound I-495 ramp to the westbound Dulles Toll Road (Exit 45A), and the southbound I-495 ramp to eastbound Route 267 (Exit 45B) will remain open.
