• Swimming Advisory Issued for Cape Charles Public Beach (virginia.gov) — Health officials based in Nassawadox have issued a swimming advisory for Cape Charles Public Beach after recent water tests found elevated bacteria levels. Signs at the beach now warn that swimming is not recommended until further notice, while the Northampton County Health Department continues weekly testing and will lift the advisory once water quality meets state standards again.
