Chef Bonita, who brought the Gluten-Free Yum Truck last week, was so happy with the response that she is coming back this week to educate and regale you with facts and food and to share her enthusiasm for what she does, which is much more than just selling at our markets.
Joe Belsan will also try again to set up to sell his lovely organic plants and also share his expert knowledge of organic gardening and how you can grow vegetables organically throughout your landscaped lawn.

We will have enough strawberries this week to make it through the end of the market and plenty of asparagus, too. I wanted to remind all of you that the cheese straws at Rockahock are addictive and that Nell's pound cake makes a good base for strawberry shortcake. Also, if you have not tried the Trickling Springs whipping cream at Heritage Farm, you should. Just be careful whipping it up — it only takes a few minutes. One minute too long and you have butter.
One other undiscovered gem at the market now is the Wild Ramp Salsa at Tyson Farms. We're hearing back that it is really good with a nice little kick at the end.

And Adima is sampling a new grapefruit-less Queen Victoria's Island Punch, which I liked even better than her original version. She was hearing from so many shoppers that they cannot drink grapefruit juice that she went to work to please her public and came up with a delicious alternative. Try some, you'll like it.
Oliver will be absent this week, but Kylie will have his freshly popped Kettle Corn at her stand for those needing their weekly supply.
Remember that we will be open even in the rain if necessary. See you at the market!
