Best Buddies Virginia Friendship Walk

 The Best Buddies Friendship Walk is an annual community event held at Oakton High School that raises awareness and funds in support of local Best Buddies programs.   With the support of hundreds of Best Buddies participants, friends, volunteers and sponsors, the Friendship Walk has become a cherished community event and tradition!

Event Details

The Best Buddies Friendship Walk includes a 3 mile Walk or Fun Run through Nottoway Park as well as a 1 mile “Track Trot.” Local businesses, schools, civic organizations and individual groups of families and friends will form walk teams to participate in this event.  Kicking off the event is a fun-filled, spirited warm-up led by celebrity trainer Laurent Amzallag of the YaLa Workout .  At the Finish Line, a gourmet BBQ prepared by celebrated chef David Guas of Bayou Bakery awaits!  Adding to the fun is music provided by local bands and DJ Andrew Blount. 

There is no registration fee or minimum required fundraising amount to participate, but teams and participants are encouraged to fundraise to receive great incentive prizes and awards.   Trophies are awarded to the top community and chapter teams. 

Raise $50 or more and receive a 2011 Walk t-shirt with an exclusive design by artist, Romero Britto and admittance to the post-party.
