The Garden Club of Fairfax welcomes autumn

As the weather begins to turn cooler, members of The Garden Club of Fairfax turn their attention to the beautiful colors of fall.

During their October meeting and workshop, members of the Garden Club of Fairfax created fall arrangements in various colors and sizes of gourds and pumpkins. Members and guests gathered to meet at Green Spring Gardens, a restoration project of the Garden Club of Virginia.

The non-profit Garden Club of Fairfax, a member of the Garden Club of Virginia, consists of members throughout Fairfax County who meet monthly from September to June at various locations. The club was established in 1926; and the object of the club is to stimulate the knowledge and love of gardening and floral arranging; to share horticultural knowledge; to restore, improve and protect the quality of the environment; to encourage conservation of natural resources; and to aid in the restoration and preservation of historic gardens in Virginia.
