Help Fight Local Hunger-Support Empty Bowls!

1 in 7 American households struggle to put food on the table. Because of that, more than 16 million American children face Empty Bowls and food insecurity on a daily basis. You can help put an end to the uncertainty of where their next meal is coming from. Volunteers are needed for Northern Virginia Family Service's Empty Bowls event, Friday October 11th from 5pm-8pm at Chapel Springs Assembly of God (formerly Manassas Assembly of God) located at 11500 New Life Way, Bristow, VA 20136. Volunteers are needed to pick up and deliver finished bowls from Manassas Clay, pick up and deliver donated food from local restaurants, assist with set up, greet and check-in attendees, monitor the dining room, monitor the bowls table and assist with clean up. Volunteers age 12 and up are welcome; youth under 16 must volunteer with a parent. Spaces are limited so sign up today! For more information or to sign up, please contact Jan Hawkins at jhawkins@nvfs.org.
