Learn About Saving for College at Oakton High Tuesday
FAFSA, Virginia 529 plans among topics as counselors offer program on financial planning for college this Tuesday, April 2.

With college education costs rising every year, Oakton High School is helping parents prepare during a special program Tuesday, April 2.
Three specialized sessions will be available for parents of students in elementary and middle school, grades 9-11 and high school seniors.
Seniors seeking financial aid for their college educations will have the opportunity to fill out Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) forms, which will be available at the event.

Parents will learn about the Virginia 529 College Savings Plan, the Commonwealth’s tax-advantaged program for saving money towards higher education.
Counselors will also cover coursework and other resources recommended to enhance college preparedness and career readiness.

Translators and door prizes will also be available.
