Oakton's Shoestring Theatre Company Mystery Explores Medical Care

OAKTON, Va. -- In the mountain town of Big Stone Gap, a cop who stole evidence, a reporter who faked statistics to get the story, and a medical resident desperate to finish his residency all suspect the unthinkable -- that the town's most revered doctor is loving his patients to death. But no one in authority believes the trio while according to the reporter's count, too many patients are dying.

This is the second production from the two-year-old theatre company, and features Oakton resident Laura Baker as the conspiracy-prone reporter. The play is directed by Oakton resident Amelia Townsend.
