The Rise of Techno Religions: Evolving beyond Liberal Humanism?
Sunday, Nov 1st Forum - Science, Reason & Religion, at 12:30pm in Oakton

Join us for viewing of a brief video featuring Hebrew University’s Yuval Harari, author of “Sapiens: a brief history of humankind.” Explore the history of the dominant modern paradigm that is asking if rapid advances in molecular biology, material science and computational technologies predict a monumental shift in global religion.
Have we already begun the transition? If so, what are its manifestations? A few simple questions: 1. What is the most important discovery of the last century? 2. What is the most important religious discovery of the last century? 3. Is feminism the most radical concept of recent times?
This presentation will take place at Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Fairfax, 2709 Hunter Mill Rd. in Oakton, VA on Sunday, November 1 at 12:30pm. The event, part of the Sunday Science, Reason & Religion Forum Series, will be held in the Sanctuary Building (top of the hill, at right)
