Road Closure To Start For Oakton Pipe Replacement

OAKTON, VA—Another round of pipe replacements is starting on Miller Road in Oakton, and you may want to find alternate routes.

A segment of Miller Road will be closed at times while Virginia Department of Transportation crews replace pipes. The closure affects Miller Road between Westhurst Lane and Windsong Drive. Starting Thursday, July 20 to Sunday, July 23, the segment will be closed between 6 a.m. and 6 p.m. Then the road will be completely closed from 6 a.m. Monday, July 24 to 6 p.m. Friday, August 4. The work will finish with daily 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. between Saturday, August 5 and Friday, August 11.

Drivers will have to take a winding detour if they're heading toward downtown Oakton or Vienna. The detour route goes from Miller Road to Miller Heights Road, Oakton Road, Jermantown Road, then Route 123. See the map of the detour route for more details.
