ValeArts at 20!

Remember the early days of ValeArts? It was 1996 and neighbors lined up at the doors on Friday morning awaiting the opening of the ValeArts Art Show at the Vale Schoolhouse. Oakton patrons can rest assured that ValeArts will continue into its 20th year at the schoolhouse location in 2015. The early members, mostly local painters who lived in a and around the historic school, planned an art show that would appeal to everyone. Hence, the ValeArts motto, “Art for Everyone.” All styles, media, all types of fine art exhibited together in the historic setting. Patrons over the years have become friends. And the art has been consistently top notch. Guest Artists, more than 42 over the years, have contributed oils, acrylics, watercolors and collage to the exhibit. The ValeArts Fall Show, “ ValeArts at 20!” will open September 25 and run through the 27th. Many of the former ValeArts members will be showing and attending.
