Vienna Photographic Society - Competition Featuring Street Photography

Robb Hill will judge the May 14, 2014 competition of the Vienna Photographic Society (“VPS”), which focuses on street photography.  Hill is a documentary photographer based in the Washington, DC metro area.  His work focuses on understanding the community and has been featured in the New York Times' Lens Blog and NPR’s Picture Show.  Hill’s projects have been supported by grants from the Puffin Foundation, The Illinois Arts Council, The Chicago Community Arts Assistance Grant, and the Yarka Vendrinska Memorial Scholarship.  He has extensive work and travel experience in Eastern Europe, the Balkans, and Southeast Asia.  The competition is open to anyone who is a paid member of VPS on the evening of the judging.  VPS meets at Oakton Elementary School, 3000 Chain Bridge Rd., Oakton from 7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.  For further information, visit www.vpsva.org, or contact Beverly Webb at bjw.1989@verizon.net or at 703-255-2452.
