"Waging Justice" Author to Speak At Unity of Fairfax

Learn how you can work for social justice from activist and author Dr. Paul Zeitz

Dr. Paul Zeitz, activist and author of Waging Justice: A Doctor's Journey to Speak Truth and Be Bold, will discuss opportunities to work for social justice during a presentation at 1 p.m. Sunday, February 24 at Unity of Fairfax, 2854 Hunter Mill Road in Oakton. Some of the big-picture advocacy priorities Dr. Zeitz is tackling include climate restoration, renewable energy, sustainable development, ending child sexual abuse, and gender equality.

"I believe in the genius and spirit of humanity, and I believe that our future is in our hands. Let's join forces to advocate for bold, transformational, and common-sense solutions to the challenges of our time in the years ahead," Zeitz said.

During this free event, Dr. Zeitz will speak about his experiences, his book, and the global movement for justice that he working to create. His book will be available for sale and signing before and after the program. Registration is requested at https://wagingjusticeunity.eventbrite.com.

Dr. Zeitz is a physician, an epidemiologist, and an award-winning advocate for global justice and human rights. He is currently working nationally and globally to mobilize community-wide action to achieve the “Sustainable Development Goals” (SDGs) and Paris Climate Treaty compliance by 2030. He serves as the Co-Founder of SDG Compacts, and the Sustainable Development Games at the Global Development Incubator (GDI), and the U.S.A. His book, Waging Justice: A Doctor’s Journey to Speak Truth and Be Bold, was published in September 2018 and has already received acclamation from dozens of world leaders—including Archbishop Emeritus Desmond Tutu, who states, “Waging Justice is a deeply personal story of courage and compassion with global implications. The event will be held at Unity of Fairfax, a positive, inclusive spiritual community focused on transformation of consciousness and awakening the spiritual light in everyone. As a spiritual center for education, practice and service, Unity offers a wide array of classes, study groups, programs, and service projects which put spiritual principals into action.
