Harry Potter fans may know July 31 is a special day: Harry Potter and author J.K. Rowling's birthdays. But did you know there are events in Alexandria to celebrate?

The Stabler-Leadbeater Apothecary Museum will offer two events the weekend of July 28-29. The Saturday, July 28 event is geared toward adults with programs exploring the science behind Harry Potter. Guests will explore guides, make an herbal potion inspired by the wizarding world, and toast Harry Potter's birthday with a magical cocktail.

The cost is $20 per person, and sessions start from 6 p.m.-9 p.m. Guests must be 21 and over.
