Two Magical Events For Harry Potter Fans In Alexandria
Do you want to learn about the science behind Harry Potter? Get your tickets to these events in Alexandria, because they're going fast.

ALEXANDRIA, VA—If you're a Harry Potter fan, you might know what July 31 is. Yes, it's Harry Potter's birthday. But for fans of J.K. Rowling's series in Alexandria, it also means magical events throughout the weekend.
The Stabler-Leadbeater Apothecary Museum (105-107 S. Fairfax St) will transform into the world of Harry Potter on Sunday, July 30 and Monday. July 31.

If the words Polyjuice Potion and Skele-Gro mean anything to you, this is the event for you. On Sunday, the museum will offer family-friendly tours and explore the science and medicine behind the series. Local bookstore Hooray for Books will offer trivia, and there will also be photo opportunities and take-home activity books. Tickets are $6 and free for children under five.
The next day, adults can take the same tours—with drinks. Dolci Gelati will be mixing up a Harry Potter-themed cocktail. Guests are encouraged to bring cameras to use at a photo booth.
