22nd Annual Pumpkin Sale Starts This Weekend in Alexandria

Immanuel Church-on-the-Hill's annual pumpkin patch helps charitable programs the parish supports.

Immanuel Church-on-the-Hill’s annual pumpkin patch fundraiser begins Sunday, according to the church Web site.

The local tradition will mark its 22nd year, offering pumpkins, gourds and seasonal foods for sale to help the charitable programs the parish supports.

More than 20 non-profit organizations benefit from the proceeds from the pumpkin sale, including local charities such as ALIVE!, Carpenter’s Shelter, Community Lodgings, and Child and Family Network Centers. International charities include Five Talents and the Haiti Micah Project. One hundred percent of the profits from the pumpkin sale are donated to charity.
