7 Dogs Win at Alexandria 'Fun Dog Show' (ICYMI)

Decked out in a green hat and clover necklace, a dog named Jaeger won “Best Irish Costume” at The 2015 Fun Dog Show on March 7. Sponsored by the Animal Welfare League of Alexandria, an animal shelter, the other award winning dogs were:

Alexandria Adopted Dog of 2015 – Lola
Best Tail Wag – Duke
Smallest Dog – Bentley
Biggest Dog – Optimus Prime
Owner Dog Look-Alike – Teal

The event’s MC was Dr. Katy Nelson, an associate veterinarian at the Belle Haven Animal Medical Center in Alexandria. Nelson is also the host and executive producer of “ The Pet Show with Dr. Katy” on Washington, D.C.’s News Channel 8, which airs at 11 a.m. on Saturday mornings.
