Update: Alexandria Abduction Report Was False: Police

BREAKING: Police determined a woman's report of a Tuesday abduction attempt in Old Town Alexandria was false.

(Updated 10:20 a.m. Friday) ALEXANDRIA, VA -- Alexandria police have determined through a full investigation that the Tuesday report of an abduction attempt in Old Town Alexandria was false.

A woman had reported that an incident had occurred at the 400 block of South Union Street. The woman alleged that a man grabbed her and attempted to get her in a car. She was not injured.

A section of South Union Street was closed Tuesday as police investigated the area.
