With the election coming up on Nov. 3, you can find out where the candidates for Alexandria City Council stand on the issues by attending a candidate forum scheduled for Thursday night in Alexandria.
The forum will be moderated by NBC-4 Northern Virginia Bureau Chief Julie Carey and held from 7-9 p.m. at the William Ramsay School Auditorium, 5700 Sanger Ave. (see Google map below for location).
Some of the issues likely to be discussed: Development, education, affordable housing, transportation and crime.

- D. Phillip Cefaratti (I)
- Tim Lovain (D) (current City Council member)
- Monique Miles (R)

- Townsend Van Fleet (R)
- Justin Wilson (D) (current City Council member)

Also on the ballot: Democratic nominee and current Vice Mayor Allison Silberberg, who is hoping to be elected mayor; current Mayor Bill Euille is running as a write-in candidate for Mayor after losing to Silberberg in the June 9 primary in a three-way race with former Mayor Kerry Donley.
