Alexandria Compounding Pharmacy will host a free lecture, open to the community, on Type 2 diabetes on Wednesday, October 14 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.

Alexandria Compounding Pharmacy will host a free lecture on Type 2 diabetes. During this interactive discussion, Dr. Hengameh (Heggie) Allen-Schaal, PhD, a clinical nutritionist and nutrition scientist at Alexandria Compounding Pharmacy, will focus on what Type 2 diabetes is and the complications of diabetes such as vision problems, kidney disease, and increased risk of heart disease. Dr. Allen-Schaal will also discuss the causes of diabetes, diagnosis and treatment including dietary and lifestyle changes.

The lecture will be held at Alexandria Compounding Pharmacy, 500 Montgomery St., Suite 120, Alexandria, VA 22314.
