Alexandria Mother And Daughter Then and Now: Mother's Day Photos

ALEXANDRIA, VA — Whether it's through their personality, looks, hobbies or a combination of everything, daughters become a reflection of the woman who raised them. With Mother's Day 2018 right around the corner, we are celebrating that special bond by inviting Patch readers across Virginia to share their "mother-daughter lookalike" photos.

It doesn't matter how old the kids are, they'll always be your babies!

Alexandria resident Cherie Smith sent us this pair of photos showing the resemblance of her daughter and herself as children and today.

The first photo is of me around 1972, next to Hailey, taken Easter 2002. The second photo was taken at Dead Freddie’s in Ocean City last August for her 16th birthday trip I took her on with her girlfriends.
