Alexandria Police Department Assisting with Security During Pope Visit

Alexandria Police Department Sergeant Brian Thompson, Motor Units and Patrol Officers were deputized early Wednesday morning to assist the Washington Metropolitan Police Department during Pope Francis’ visit to Washington, D.C.

Pope Francis is speaking this morning at the White House, then rides through the National Mall in the “Popemobile” and later says Mass.
