UPDATE: Missing Man Found, Alexandria Police Say

UPDATE: A missing person in Alexandria, Jose Portillo Martinez, has been located and is receiving mental health services, according to police.

The Alexandria Police Department is asking for your assistance in locating Jose Samuel Portillo Martinez. He was last seen in the 5200 block of Duke Street (see Google map below) around 10:30 a.m. Friday.

Portillo Martinez is a 22-year-old white Hispanic male, 5’10”, 220 lbs., with black hair and a scar on his left hand. He was last seen wearing a red polo shirt, blue jeans, and blue Nike sneakers.

Police said in their alert that Portillo Martinez is mentally ill and when not on medication, becomes aggressive and is unable to recognize friends and family.
