Bus Arrival Alerts, Other Features Added To Alexandria Schools Bus Tracking System

Alexandria City Public Schools have added features to a bus tracking portal available to ACPS parents.

ALEXANDRIA, VA — Alexandria City Public Schools has introduced new features to its school bus tracking system, giving parents more ways to monitor their children's buses and receive notifications about arrivals.

The updates to the Edulog Bus Tracking Parent Portal, announced by ACPS on Oct. 30, include customizable alerts, expanded language options and easier access to transportation information.

One of the new features allows parents to establish alert zones that notify them when their child's school bus is approaching a designated stop or school.

The Edulog system was already available to ACPS families through a free smartphone app, which provides scheduled pickup and drop-off times, bus stop locations and GPS tracking of school buses.

The app also sends notifications when buses approach stops or when a substitute bus is assigned to a route.

The Edulog app remains available for free through the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
